AIHA Releases Korean IH MOD

Posted June 5, 2013
AIHA® recently released the Korean translation of IH MOD, which was translated by Jooyeon Hwang, a doctoral student from the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota, and Chung Sik Yoon, PhD, CIH, from the School of Public Health at Seoul National University in Korea. IH MOD is also available in English, French, and German.
IH MOD is a flexible spreadsheet that uses basic modeling and statistical analysis algorithms to assist industrial hygienists in conducting exposure assessments and provides users with a basic understanding of each algorithm’s function, parameters, and results. Industrial hygienists engaged in initial and ongoing occupational exposure assessment work will benefit by having an easy-to-use implementation of mathematical modeling and analysis methods.
IH MOD can also be used for downstream user and consumer exposure assessments, which are relevant in the European REACH efforts and other regulatory-based exposure and risk control programs.
IH MOD is available for free download on the Exposure Assessment Strategies Committee Web page.
