Application Deadline Extended for AIHA Content Portfolio Management Team

As AIHA® President Barbara Dawson discussed in the August 2013 Synergist, the AIHA Board of Directors has approved six recommendations intended to ensure that AIHA has a sustainable stream of resources to support our mission to protect worker health. One of the recommendations is to develop a content strategy to prioritize development and delivery of content to meet members’ and customers’ information and learning needs, and to achieve organizational priorities and financial objectives. As part of the strategy, the AIHA Board will be appointing a Content Portfolio Management Team (CPMT). The CPMT will be a team of eight AIHA members, including two members of the Board of Directors.

The CPMT will play an important role in the strategy by prioritizing content development recommendations to the AIHA Board of Directors regarding the following areas:

  • New content areas for development
  • Updating existing content
  • Archiving content
  • Ongoing process improvement in the execution of AIHA’s content strategy

The CPMT will make these recommendations using established evaluation criteria, taking input from AIHA members, volunteer groups, and other stakeholders into consideration. The CPMT will also review results of environmental scanning, market research, and member and customer needs surveys. The AIHA Board will use the CPMT recommendations to inform the program of work and corresponding resource allocation for the next budget cycle.
