More than 5,000 OEHS professionals will convene in Montreal in a few days to discuss the latest trends in industrial hygiene scientific issues and innovations. AIHce 2013 will take place at the Montreal Convention Center between Saturday, May 18, and Thursday, May 23.
This year’s conference will debut a Canadian issues educational track, with sessions focusing on Canadian-based OEHS issues and research. In addition, a special session on Tuesday, May 21, will feature the Honourable Lisa Raitt, Canada’s Minister of Labor. Minister Raitt will join David Michaels, MPH, PhD, Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA, for a moderated “meet the press”-style discussion that will cover a broad range of current topics and issues affecting OEHS professionals today.
In addition to the educational sessions, AIHce 2013 will include hundreds of companies presenting exhibits focusing on the need to integrate sound science with creativity and innovation to protect worker safety. The exhibit hall will be open Monday through Wednesday and feature a cyber café, daily prize drawings, and technical and student posters. For more AIHce highlights, read AIHA’s latest press release
