Introducing Synergist "Town Hall" Webinars

The Synergist and Bulwark FR are collaborating on a new kind of webinar that will debut in February 2019. We're calling it a "town hall" webinar, and we're asking AIHA members for help in getting it off the ground.

The idea behind a town hall webinar is to give you, the audience, a hand in its creation by submitting questions for our presenter, Derek Sang. As Bulwark's Technical Training Manager, Derek's expertise lies in helping people understand the arc flash and flash fire hazards along with the proper selection, use, care, and maintenance of FR/AR clothing. Since joining Bulwark, Derek has conducted over 250 live seminars and over 30 webinars across North America, the Middle East, and Europe. He is also no stranger to AIHA's audience, with four Synergist webinars to his credit (plus another, on ANSI and FR, that was held today, Nov. 28—you can register to watch the recording when it becomes available).

Here's how it will work: AIHA members will submit their questions about FR/AR clothing by emailing The Synergist. Derek will then build a presentation around as many questions as possible for the time allotted. The webinar will be held in late February. You'll be sent registration instructions through the usual channels (Synergist Weekly, Catalyst, email promotions and the AIHA website). As with all Synergist webinars, registration for the town-hall webinar will be free. And Derek has agreed to answer all questions that are submitted, even if they don't make it into the presentation.

If there is anything you need to know about FR/AR clothing, now is your chance to have your questions answered by an expert. You'll get to contribute to your colleagues' (and your own) professional development, and by attending the webinar, you'll get to earn a little CM credit to boot.

I'm looking forward to seeing your questions!
