Social Concerns Committee Seeks Suggestions for AIHce Movie Matinee

Posted January 10, 2018

For the past several years, the Social Concerns Committee has hosted a movie matinee during AIHce EXP as an alternative to the lengthy days of technical presentations. Each year, the committee invites the director or someone closely affiliated with the movie to lead a discussion following the screening. Past AIHce movie matinees include:

  • 2014: “Blackfish” followed by a discussion led by Scott Schneider of the Social Concerns Committee
  • 2015: “A Day’s Work” followed by a discussion with director Dave DeSario
  • 2016: “The Cost of Construction” followed by a discussion with producer and director Jordan Ehrlich
  • 2017: “Blood on the Mountain” followed by a discussion with director Mary-Lynn Evans

The Social Concerns Committee seeks suggestions for its 2018 AIHce movie matinee. Please email your movie, documentary, or short film suggestions to SCC Chair Cynthia Sauvé by end of day on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018.
