Overview of Meetings

OHSMS Auditor Item Development (IDW) Workshop Overview: Now that the BoK is developed and items (test questions) are being written, the item review phase of the test development project can begin. The IDW is designed for the development of items to be used on the AIHA OHSMS Auditor examination. Workshop participants will review and edit newly written items in a small group under the guidance of a meeting facilitator.

OHSMS Auditor Standard Setting Meeting Overview: With a new exam comes the need to conduct a standard-setting study to establish a new cut score for the test. Standard setting is the phase of test development in which the critical decision of setting the passing score is made. This decision will have direct and obvious consequences for examinees, as it will form the basis of defining which examinees pass the test and which do not. While statistical methods are often used in conducting a standard setting, the process is also greatly impacted by judgment and policy.

To apply to participate in either event, AIHA asks interested individuals fill out and submit this survey by Monday, July 31.

For each event, AIHA will select six to eight participants from the pool of volunteers who express their availability. Expenses for travel to face-to-face meetings will be covered by AIHA. Those individuals who are chosen will be notified by Friday, Aug. 4, 2017. Please email Stacy Calhoun with questions.
