2026 AIHA Board of Director Election Results

Selection of individuals for the AIHA Board of Directors is conducted by the Board Nominating Committee, as outlined in the Association Bylaws. This committee is composed of seven (7) full AIHA members.
Three (3) standing Board member seats are reserved for the AIHA Past President (who serves as chair), the AIHA Vice-President, and one (1) at-large director—typically in their third year of office and chosen by the Past President. The remaining four (4) general members are selected by the committee chair and approved by the full Board via an open-call process. These members represent professionals at all career stages and demonstrate active involvement in various volunteer groups and local sections. Committee members work across diverse industry sectors, including academia, government, industry, and consulting.
The AIHA President and CEO serve as ex-officio, non-voting members, participating in the committee’s final discussions to help ensure objectivity and fairness.

The AIHA Board is pleased to announce that the membership has elected the following individuals to serve on the 2026-27 AIHA Board of Directors:

  1. Vice President: A. Bryan Seal, PhD, CIH, CSP, CHMM, REHS
  2. Secretary-Elect: Vanessa Brady, MC, CIH, CSP
  3. Director: Carra Herring, CIH, CSP
  4. Director: Spencer M. Pizzani, CIH
