On Sept. 8, AIHA President John Mulhausen and CEO Larry Sloan will join representatives from other professional associations for a new NIOSH webinar on topics related to the future of worker health and safety in the post-pandemic world. The free webinar is part of the agency’s 2021 Expanding Research Partnerships Webinar Series, which is intended to facilitate discussion about pressing issues and opportunities for collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders in occupational safety and health. Additional speakers scheduled to present during the Sept. 8 event include Robert Bourgeois of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Chris Cunningham of the Society for Occupational Health Psychology, and the American Society of Safety Professionals’ Joel Haight, who is also a member of AIHA.

The Sept. 8 webinar will be the third installment in the series on occupational health and safety challenges facing workers in a post-pandemic world. The first webinar in the series was held on March 10 and focused on perspectives from labor associations of major industry sectors in the United States. The second installment, which took place on June 9, featured presenters from U.S. employer groups.
