NIOSH Seeks Experts to Serve on Advisory Committee to World Trade Center Health Program

CDC is soliciting nominations for candidates to serve on the World Trade Center Health Program Scientific/Technical Advisory Committee. The WTC Health Program STAC makes recommendations on research, the addition of health conditions to the list of certified WTC-related health conditions, and eligibility criteria for the WTC Health Program, which provides medical monitoring and treatment of health conditions related to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The WTC Health Program STAC comprises 17 experts from various professions who review scientific and medical evidence. CDC seeks nominations of qualified individuals from the occupational physician and environmental medicine or environmental health professions, as well as a representative of WTC responders.

The WTC Health Program is administered by NIOSH. More information can be found on the program’s website.

Nominations for the WTC Health Program STAC are due Nov. 14. More information, including an explanation of how to submit nominations, is available in a NIOSH news update and in the Federal Register.
