Safe & Sound Week 2026 Is Underway

This year’s Safe & Sound Week, a nationwide event held annually by OSHA to promote worker safety and highlight the benefits of workplace health and safety programs, began on Aug. 10 and will continue through Aug. 16. According to OSHA, the focus of Safe & Sound Week 2026 is to provide businesses with resources on health and safety recognition.

OSHA describes participation in Safe & Sound Week as a way for organizations to help raise awareness about worker safety and health. The event can also help businesses to start new workplace health and safety programs, reinvigorate existing ones using the resources provided by OSHA and its partners, or recognize accomplishments in health and safety. According to the agency, more than 4,600 businesses participated in last year’s event.

Free Safe & Sound Week resources from OSHA include printable materials, activity ideas, and other items to help businesses develop workplace health and safety programs. Materials available near the bottom of the agency’s resources page are intended to help small, medium, and large businesses create safety and health recognition programs for their workers.
