Registration Now Open for Safe + Sound Week

Businesses can now sign up for Safe + Sound Week, a nationwide event held annually by OSHA to promote worker safety and highlight the benefits of workplace health and safety programs. The event will be held next month, Aug. 10–16, 2020. AIHA has served as an organizer for Safe + Sound Week since it began.

OSHA describes participation in Safe + Sound Week as a way for businesses to either start new workplace health and safety programs or reinvigorate existing ones using information and ideas developed by the agency and its partners. Registering for Safe + Sound Week provides organizations an opportunity to promote their commitment to worker safety, and OSHA encourages all to participate. According to the agency, more than 3,300 businesses across the United States participated in the event in 2019 to raise awareness about occupational health and safety.

Once a business has registered for Safe + Sound Week, they will have access to graphics, activity ideas, and other resources to plan and promote their events. After the week is complete, participants can download a certificate recognizing their organization. Visit the Safe + Sound website to sign up and learn more.
