AIHA and dBase Media to Continue Groundbreaking Video Docuseries "Healthier Workplaces, Healthier World"

AIHA is proud to announce another partnership with dBase Media to produce more episodes in a video docuseries that sheds light on the vital field of occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS). "Healthier Workplaces, Healthier World" first debuted in 2021 and brought to the forefront the inspirational stories of leading organizations that are setting new standards in OEHS and Industrial Hygiene. AIHA and dBase are excited to add more episodes to the successful series.

The OEHS industry, as well as workplace dynamics, hold significant sway over the health of our communities. A safe workplace translates to a safer community. In addition, this series will spotlight environmental health by highlighting leaders in disaster planning, response, and recovery, emphasizing the global significance of safeguarding communities in all environments.

Distinguished early participants in this enlightening series include the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and other prominent organizations.

Viewers will gain unique insights from IH professionals and their organizations who are making transformative contributions to their communities through innovative practices and safer work environments. "Healthier Workplaces, Healthier World" will share compelling success stories that underscore the real impact of occupational and environmental hazards on people and events. The series will also delve into the lives and motivations of OEHS professionals, showcasing the positive outcomes they bring to surrounding communities.

Topics covered in the video series will span a wide array of known hazards, from workplace safety to natural disasters like wildfires and hurricane response efforts, and even measures to protect children from infectious diseases through improved school air filtration. OEHS authorities will explore diverse industries, capturing the multifaceted nature of the workforce, the challenges they face, the innovative solutions they devise, the unique career paths they pursue, and the dedicated individuals who commit their lives to enhancing the well-being of others.

This second series of episodes will feature first-hand accounts of the dynamic daily experiences of professionals working in diverse settings, including business offices, manufacturing plants, pharmaceutical labs, oil rigs, construction sites, railways, potential disaster sites, and film sets. Each story will underscore the indispensable role played by OEHS professionals in creating healthier workplaces and, by extension, healthier communities. The work of OEHS professionals contributes significantly to ensuring that homes, schools, and workplaces are safe, enabling communities to prosper. As such, this series will capture the pride of a profession that not only keeps workers and communities safe but also actively seeks to enhance their overall well-being.

The new episodes of "Healthier Workplaces, Healthier World" will make its world premiere at the AIHA's Annual AIHA CONNECT ™ 2024 conference, scheduled for May 20-24th, 2024.
