In addition to the significant risks opioids’ use poses, workers whose job responsibilities may result in exposure to opioids are not safe from its damaging effects.

What are the safest response measures these workers can adapt to conduct opioid-related work more safely?

This webinar will benefit opioid responders (including police officers, hazmat personnel, and forensic analysts), industrial hygienists involved in keeping American workers safe, EHS experts, and professionals concerned with the use of opioids in the workplace.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Analyze potential exposure situations
  • Protect themselves from opioid exposure in the course of their workday
  • explore the efficacy of decontaminant solutions to clean opioid-related surfaces

Participants will also be provided the following data:

  • Quantity, concentrations, and make-up of some recent opioid seizures by Customs and Border Protection officers in major cities and at borders
  • Research results concerning dermal exposure to fentanyl
  • The NIOSH Health Hazard Evaluations regarding opioids
