A Resource for Respiratory Protection Programs Framework
This recently updated technical framework breaks down the competencies of an effective Respiratory Protection Program (RPP) into the user level, supervisor level, program administrator level, and fit tester level. The project team, which included volunteers from AIHA and NIOSH, shared their expertise in modernizing the RPP requirements and expanding upon the training-related proficiencies.
Understanding and Applying ARECC to Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Framework
The Anticipate, Recognize, Evaluate, Control, and Confirm (ARECC) framework provides a comprehensive process to anticipate and recognize hazards, evaluate exposures, and control and confirm protection from risks. This framework summarizes the competencies required to demonstrate awareness, understanding, and the ability to apply core knowledge about the occupational hygiene decision-making framework and process of ARECC.
