Neither AIHA nor The Synergist endorses, supports, or verifies the webinars’ contents or expressed opinions.
There are three types of Synergist Webinars:
- Educational: a traditional webinar format in which a presenter delivers prepared material on a topic of interest to the IH/OEHS community. These presentations are typically 45 minutes long followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. AIHA updates webinar participants’ educational transcripts to reflect their attendance. Participants can use their transcripts for certification maintenance (1 contact hour for a 60-minute webinar).
- Town Hall: similar to an educational webinar, a Town Hall presentation is created from questions submitted by IH/OEHS professionals. These presentations are typically 60 minutes long. AIHA updates webinar participants’ educational transcripts to reflect their attendance. Participants can use their transcripts for certification maintenance.
- Product Demo: a short presentation of practical tips for using a specific product, similar to the demonstrations that take place at conference exhibits. These presentations are 20 minutes long followed by a 10-minute Q&A. AIHA does not update participants’ educational transcripts for Product Demos.
Attendance at all Synergist Webinars is free.
Upcoming Webinars
Product Demo: Innovations in Portable Calibration, Data Collection, and Enhanced Reporting
Tuesday, October 15, 2024, 2-2:30 p.m. ET
By Aaron Apostolico, CIH, CSP, CIEC, Corporate Industrial Hygienist, Product Applications & Research , Sensidyne, LP
This presentation will demonstrate new functions and features offered in the Go-Cal Pro portable air flow calibrator. Attendees will be able to view how a calibration record can be linked to the air sampling information for enhanced sample integrity and then downloaded into the new Gilian Connect Pro software for further data management and compliance reporting.
Data in Digital SDS Management Systems for OEHS Professionals
Wednesday, October 16, 2024, 2-3 PM ET
Erhi G-Das, Lead Solution Engineer, Product Stewardship, Sphera
SDS contain key information that can be of great use to OEHS professionals. However, a lot the time, this information is “locked” in a physical paper document or PDF. In this traditional form of the SDS, it can be hard to access such information and use it at scale. A good digitalized SDS management system will extract certain information from the SDS and make such data freely available for multiple possible use cases at scale that could greatly benefit OEHS professionals.

Important Information for Synergist Webinar Participants
The Synergist team updates educational transcripts to reflect participation in Educational and Town Hall Webinars approximately once per month (on or around the 20th of each month). We update transcripts only for individuals who have an AIHA.org account.
Create a free AIHA.org account
These updates include participants who have watched recorded webinars. The transcript update process has a manual component and can take up to 3–4 weeks to complete. Please take this timeframe into consideration when planning to participate in Synergist Webinars to meet recertification deadlines. Webinar participants will receive an automatic email when their transcripts have been updated.
We do not update transcripts for participation in Product Demos.
To ensure that their educational transcripts are updated properly, AIHA members should register for Synergist Webinars with the primary email address they have on file with AIHA.
