The SAP, housed under the AIHA Guideline Foundation, is responsible for ensuring a systematic and ongoing effort to identify significant trends, issues and developments for national and international consensus standards that can impact the future of the industrial hygiene and occupational/environmental health and safety (IH/OEHS) profession. A request for evaluation was submitted by AIHA members to evaluate the relevance of the consensus standards, mentioned above, for the IH/OEHS community and the need for AIHA to engage in development. The SAP estimated the relevance of the above listed standards as high and recommended AIHA to appoint representatives to the relevant standard developing bodies/organizations.
