NIOSH Webinar to Cover Work Stress, Management

An upcoming webinar hosted by the NIOSH Total Worker Health (TWH) Program will focus on strategies that organizations can use to support workers and their families during difficult times. Presenters will cover topics such as resources for workers to address work stress, juggling work and non-work roles, and healthy management styles. The webinar will also include information about how companies can support team members virtually. NIOSH’s TWH initiative involves policies, programs, and practices that integrate protection from work-related safety and health hazards with promotion of injury and illness prevention efforts to advance worker well-being.

The webinar will be held on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. ET. Scheduled presenters include Gwenith Fisher, PhD, president-elect of the Society for Occupational Health Psychology, and HR professional Corey Berkey, a SHRM Senior Certified Professional with JazzHR. Fisher’s research examines how work and individual factors relate to worker health, well-being, and retirement, and Berkey’s experience spans large and small businesses and a variety of industries.

Individuals interested in attending the webinar can register for free via Adobe Connect. More information about the TWH webinar series is available on NIOSH’s website.
