Laboratory Accreditation Course Offers ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Insights

AIHA’s laboratory accreditation course will be held in conjunction with AIHce08 in Minneapolis. This two-day course (taught by Ronald H. Peters, CIH, AIHA’s chief site assessor) is designed for those who are considering accreditation under AIHA’s Laboratory Quality Assurance Programs.

Participants will receive an overview of AIHA programs and the laboratory accreditation process. Quality system requirements and documentation, including changes resulting from ISO/IEC 17025:2005, are covered.

Information presented in the course is designed to:

  • Reduce the time required to complete the accreditation application
  • Avoid delays resulting from application deficiencies

The course will be held on June 1-2 in Minneapolis. Registration for this course is on-site in Minneapolis, but you do not need to register for AIHce to attend the course. For more information, contact Margie Breida, LQAP operations manager or (703) 846-0713.

The new bylaws change allows all with ABIH certification to join the Academy as Academy Affiliate members. These individuals will also be recognized as Diplomates of the Academy. More information about the new membership category, including an application, is available on the Acedemy pages of the AIHA website.
