- Fundamentals of Product Stewardship
The module reviews basic product stewardship terminology and highlights key product stewardship tools. A wide range of topics is introduced including the fundamentals of product stewardship, product compliance, risk management, toxicology, and concepts around product sustainability. - Introduction to Product Compliance
This module helps new product stewards understand the complexities of product compliance and gives an overview of regulations, frameworks, and concepts that you need to be aware of. - Principles of Toxicology
This module covers toxicological terminology, physiology and toxicokinetics, toxicological interactions, target organ toxicity, toxicological issues in product stewardship, the process of development exposure limits and toxicity reference values, qualitative/quantitative structural activity relationships (QSARs), toxicological classifications, and ecotoxicological effects on food webs. - Product Risk Management Basics
This module provides a high-level overview of exposure and risk assessment, risk characterization, and risk management and regulatory engagement strategy principles for product stewards and other related professional fields. - Introduction to Sustainability
This module helps new product stewards understand the complexities surrounding sustainability and gives a brief overview of regulations, frameworks, and concepts that you need to be aware of.

Presenters:
Laurie Gneiding has an MS in Environmental Toxicology and is a CPPS with over 15 years of experience in Product Stewardship for both commercial and public clients such as PBT assessments, toxicological evaluations, an evaluation of additivity of PAHs, researched carcinogenic, mutagenic, and reproductive (CMRs) toxicants in childcare articles, and prepared policy briefs on the human health effects to chemicals (i.e., PBDEs, metals [mercury, chromium, cadmium], phthalates, bisphenol) in a circular economy, preparation of substance dossiers, determined GHS classifications of various products and developed PNECs/DNELs for various chemicals and toxicity evaluation in consumer products. She has substantive experience in conducting human and ecological risk assessments.
Steven Marks is the Director of Product Compliance for Avery Dennison Corporation, a diversified Fortune 500 manufacturer of labeling, packaging, and medical products with over 150 locations globally. In this role, he has global responsibility for the company’s product stewardship, safety, and compliance program, ensuring that the company’s products meet regulatory requirements in all countries where its products are sold, are safe for use by customers, and achieve world-class sustainability and environmental performance. Steven has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Dayton and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology.
Joanna Matthew joined Yordas Group in 2017. She is a managing regulatory specialist with extensive experience in the chemical and environmental sectors. With experience of the automotive, aerospace and advanced manufacturing industries, Jo leads the Regulatory Monitoring team at Yordas, specialising in custom regulatory monitoring projects relating to horizon scanning and emerging regulations, regulatory fact sheets and summaries, global monitoring services and custom software development. The team also specializes in the compilation and maintenance of Restricted Substances Lists and Manufacturing Restricted Substances Lists, scoping assessments for the manufacture, import and marketing of products in the global marketplace and providing regulatory advice to our customers.
Tanner Peters is the Risk Assessment Modeler within Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs for Eastman, a materials innovation company celebrating more than 100 years of vital innovations that enhance people’s lives every day. In this role he conducts modeling to support hazard identification and exposure assessment, as well as developing chemical risk assessments for new or existing chemicals, to ensure the products are safe for consumer use and comply with regulatory requirements. Tanner received his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health from East Tennessee State University.
Sonia Razzaque has been a practitioner of Product Stewardship for 20+ years. She cut her "regulatory teeth" at The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan, and continued to hone her skills at Huntsman, Celanese, Americas Styrenics, and Nexeo Solutions (now Univar). As of July 2021, she is the Global Vice President of Chemical Regulatory Compliance and Product Stewardship at Michelman. She started her career as a QC analytical chemist at Dow, got bored, and on a whim, decided to give Product Stewardship a try. It's been twenty-something years since she took that leap of faith and despite the grey hairs she has amassed as a result of the various PS/regulatory crises she has had to face, she has not regretted her decision one bit. Her regulatory expertise spans a wide range of end-use markets from Pharmaceuticals and Food Packaging, to Automotive and Building & Construction. Sonia is well versed in Responsible Care, Product Stewardship Management Systems and is a 7-time "survivor" of M&A integration projects (don't ask!)! Outside of her responsibilities at Michelman, she enjoys speaking at Product Stewardship conferences and is a member of the PS Society's Education Committee. As a self-proclaimed PS geek (and proud of it!), she loves mentoring junior product stewards and teaching the art of Product Stewardship to anyone who will listen. She double majored in Microbiology and Biotechnology and holds a BSc. (Hons) degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
Lesa Rice-Jackson has been a prominent leader in the regulatory compliance field with over 30 years of advanced training, technical application, and leadership acumen in the oil and gas industry. RJHSRC offers a simplified and practical approach using product stewardship principles to help solve health, safety, and regulatory compliance chemical problems.
David Szabo has over 16 years of Toxicology and Product Stewardship experience. He initially worked with the federal government at the US FDA and EPAs and now supports corporate initiatives with sustainable chemical development, safer food contact coatings and life-saving medical devices. He received a PhD in Toxicology from University of North Carolina, an MS in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and BS in Biology from Plymouth University. Dr. David Szabo is active in national societies in leadership roles including the Product Stewardship Society and Society of Toxicology (SOT), is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) and is a Certified Professional Product Steward (CPPS).
Damon Waterworth joined Yordas Group upon completion of his Master’s degree in 2018. Having previously worked as a Planning Policy Officer in local government and a Project Assistant for an onshore wind energy company, Damon now leads Yordas’ Sustainability division and specialises in the delivery of life cycle assessment (LCA), ecolabelling, management systems and auditing services. Damon is currently a member of the BSI committee for LCA ISO standards and has recently developed the Royal Society of Chemistry accredited e-learning course: “A Practical Guide to Conducting a Life Cycle Assessment”. He holds a Master of Science degree in Energy and Environmental Management (with Distinction) from Lancaster University and a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Chester.
Regina White joined the product stewardship faculty at the Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health 3 years ago. She has over 29 years of experience in product stewardship and SHE, where she worked in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, power generation/distribution, and industrial manufacturing. She retired in mid-2020, after 18.5 years, with ExxonMobil, where she worked in various capacities in their Product Stewardship and Industrial Hygiene organizations. She earned her master's degree in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Oklahoma and my BS in Engineering Arts from Michigan State University.
